This post is not really about one specific subject, it's more like a collection of photos that I gathered in the past weeks. The first group of photos is from the introduction weekend in Gothenburg earlier this month.
Op zaterdag gingen we naar een museum in Göteborg, het "Universeum". Ik heb deze foto genomen toen we voor de ingang stonden te wachten. De gebouwen op de foto heten de "Gothia towers". Ik weet niet echt veel over de torens, maar een ding wat wel interessant is om op te merken is het horizontale gedeelte op de hoek van de middelste toren. Het lijkt vanaf deze afstand niet heel bijzonder, maar dat stuk van het gebouw is een zwembad. Hoe dat werkt wordt waarschijnlijk wat duidelijker als je op Google "Gothia towers pool" zoekt. 'S avonds zijn we er nog een keer langs gelopen, en toen kon je de mensen er ook echt in rond zien zwemmen. Helaas werkt de camera op mijn telefoon niet zo goed in het donker, dus daarvan heb ik geen foto.
On saturday we went to a museum in Gothenburg called the "Universeum". I took this photo when we were waiting in front of the entrance. The buildings on the photo are called the "Gothia towers". I don't really know much about the towers, but one interesting thing that might be worth noting is the horizontal part on the corner of the middle tower. It may not seem very special from this distance, but that part of the building is a swimming pool. It probably becomes a bit clearer how that works if you Google "Gothia towers pool". We walked past the same buildings later in the evening, and then you could actually see the people swimming around in there. Sadly my phone's camera doesn't work too well in low light, so I don't have photo of that.
Eenmaal in het museum aangekomen mochten we in groepjes vrij rondlopen door het museum. Dit was een van de eerste dingen die me opvielen, alle bedrading achter de knopjes in de lift was zichtbaar. Bovendien waren de muren van de lift en de schacht allemaal van glas, dus je kon nog steeds alle kanten het museum in kijken vanuit de lift.
Once we arrived in the museum, we could walk freely through the museum in groups. This was one of the first things that I noticed, all the wires behind the buttons in the elevator are visible. On top of that, all the walls of the elevator and the shaft were made of glass, so you could still look into the museum in all directions even with the elevator doors closed.
Het is wat makkelijker om een foto te maken als hetgeen je fotografeert niet te veel rondbeweegt, dus heb ik deze foto's van koraal in plaats van foto's van vissen.
It's a bit easier to take a photo if the thing you're photographing isn't moving around too much, so that's why I have these photos of coral instead of photos of fish.
Deze kameleon zat ook genoeg stil om er een goede foto van te kunnen maken. Hij kwam extreem dicht bij het glas, dus met deze foto heb ik aardig wat geluk gehad.
This chameleon was also sitting still enough to be able to take a good photo of it. It came extremely close to the glass, so I had quite a bit of luck with this photo.

De volgende groep foto's is van nóg wat eerder deze maand. Ik was benieuwd naar de omgeving van Töreboda, dus heb ik een wandeling langs het kanaal gemaakt.
The next group of photos is from even earlier this month. I was curious about the surroundings of Töreboda, so took a walk along the canal.
Met de koptelefoon op, naar wat sicke tunes luisterend langs het kanaal lopen, even kort stoppen om een foto van een boom te maken terwijl een passerende fietser me enigszins raar aankijkt. Niet de beste foto die ik ooit heb gemaakt, maar toch wel leuk leek me.
With headphones on, listening to some sick tunes, walking along the canal, stopping quickly to take a photo of a tree while a passing cyclist looks at me mildly strangely. Not the best photo I've ever made, but still pretty nice I thought.
Deze foto zou er een stuk minder elegant uit zien als je zou kunnen zien in wat voor houding ik zat toen ik hem nam. Achteraf gezien vind ik het de foto toch best waard.
This photo would look a lot less elegant if you could see in what kind of pose I was sitting when I took it. Still worth it in hindsight though.
Dit is het verste punt waar ik geweest ben, na deze foto heb ik me omgekeerd en ben ik teruggelopen. Misschien dat ik binnenkort voorbij dit punt loop, gewoon om te weten wat er aan het einde van dit pad ligt.
This is the farthest point where I went, after this photo I turned around and walked back. Maybe I'm going to walk past this point soon, just to know what lies at the end of this path.
